Did you know that OnStar subscribers can use the service to track Santa on Christmas Eve? It’s true! For the sixth consecutive year, OnStar is giving families the chance to press the blue button and get in the holiday spirit by tracking Santa and his reindeer. Here are the details to participate:
From 7 a.m. (EST) Christmas Eve until 5 a.m. Christmas Day, OnStar Subscribers can follow his journey around the globe with just a push of the blue OnStar button, thanks to a collaboration with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Tracks Santa program.
If you aren’t near your vehicle — er, sleigh — call (877) 446-6723 or visit www.noradsanta.org to check Santa’s progress. For each call received, OnStar will donate a dollar to United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
Santa’s on social media too. Tweet @NORADSanta with the hashtag #Santa or #NORADSanta for his location.
My family and I tried out this fun service tonight— it seems Santa is already getting a head start on his route! I just love the look on my daughter’s face!
As you can see, this is a great opportunity to bring a little joy & magic to your children before the big day. I also heard that Santa’s sleigh is equipped with OnStar with 4G LTE this year, so Santa will stay connected for any last minute updates to the Naughty and Nice list!
